Review on Nature Bound Catcher Eco Friendly NB566: The Ultimate Solution for Responsible Catching by Fahmi Manna

Helps keep bugs under control!

I know it's a kid's toy, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money to buy a more professional model. I did a lot of research before deciding on this model and this bug catcher worked well to drastically reduce the bug population infesting my pumpkins. It works best with the smallest bugs. If you're trying to catch a larger bug, you'll have to scoop it into the hole (loosen its grip on what it's clinging to). Remember to leave the magnifying glass part open when you're sucking in the bugs and close it afterwards or they'll crawl out again. like a stink bug/old man), scooping them into a barrel and then tapping them into the gathering area works well enough. I have NOT tried it on house spiders so cannot attest to its effectiveness there. I really like how you can disassemble the barrel for easy cleaning and disposal of the bugs - the "barrel" separates from the chamber that contains the bugs and the chamber detaches from the grip. After that, it's pretty easy to drop the bugs into the soapy water, even if the magnifying glass gets in the way a bit. I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone struggling with bed bugs. (Don't forget to also remove their eggs from the leaves and seal them in a ziplock bag!) After using this weapon for a few days, I find a maximum of 5 pumpkin beetles per day.

Pros
  • Educational game: Kids can examine their favorite bugs without killing them! This patented, insect-proof vacuum gently guides each bug into the core viewing chamber for easy capture and release.
