I bought red paint and it doesn't look oily at all. It's a very flat red with no tint, and any variation or graininess looks printed. It feels very cheap. The clasp doesn't stay closed, and since the handle mounts are on one side (rather than each side of the bag), it's even easier to open when there's something heavy in the handbag. The weight includes my wallet and a pair of lipsticks, a pretty minimal standard fare. It's a cute design but so cheap I'll never trust it with my wallet so I can't use it. Such a waste of material.
