I got them for a set of Spalding clubs I bought in 1980 and recently restored. I wanted something good that would keep the old nostalgic look but at the same time lower the cost. I wanted to use the same GP wraps as in my new racquets, but chose them on the recommendation of friends (despite many negative reviews about the quality and difficulty of installation). I'm glad I listened to my friend. The grip set I received was exactly as described and arrived 3 days early. The grips are the same size as my mid-sized GP and I found them to be of the same overall quality. I had no problems with the installation. I smeared the tape AND the inside of the new grip with solvent, gently slid the open end of the grip onto the end of the rod and pushed firmly until it clicked into place. I did not find installation any more or less difficult than any other major brand I have used over the years. The reviewers who ripped and destroyed the buttons and just couldn't install them must have done something wrong. There is a knack for attaching the handles and they shouldn't just slide like a banana peel, it should take some light pressure and twisting to keep the handles firmly in place when the solvent dries after a few hours. I found the quality to be very good. They have a hard base but are soft and sticky when held. I just used them for 27 holes and I really like them. Another plus for me is that they are made in the USA. I would definitely buy them again.
