For less than a haircut, we can stay pretty neat.

I have to admit I know nothing about haircuts, but everyone in this house needs a haircut. We stay away from salons and barbers so I decided to try these barber scissors and thinning scissors. Let's face it, it's worth trying for less than the cost of a trip to the hairdresser. The facilities we've visited in the past aren't particularly well ventilated, so we'll skip them. I was a bit reluctant at first to see how well these scissors and thinning shears work. Well it is very difficult to do this. I was able to cut at least some of my human guinea pig's hair. Not only was I very satisfied with the quality of these instruments, but also with their sharpness. I'm not going to cut my hair completely now, but I will in time. There was a gentleman in the office whose wife had her hair cut. It looked great and if I make any serious mistakes... well, let's just say the hair grows back. Many years ago I cut my hair because I lived in a remote area. Nothing says I can't resume this hobby, at least temporarily. For those looking to improve their skills I would recommend the book Haircut for Beginners (clickable link). And yes, there is also YouTube. This hair care kit costs less than the price of a haircut. Definitely recommend this sharp, useful set.
