It really helps.
This worked surprisingly well. I have a crappy plastic table that the serger sits on and it literally bounces all over the place. I placed the serger on a solid wooden table while waiting for the rug to arrive. The serger just vibrated a little on the solid wood table so I thought ok I need to change my sewing furniture. I put it back on the crappy table, put a rug under it and amazingly it really helped a lot. The sergeant no longer jumps. I can actually sew there. I think I'll get a sturdier desk
