Right, UPDATE

I carefully measured my dog's paws and ordered according to the size chart. Boots just right. I gently pulled her on so her legs were fully inserted. At first she took high steps, but when she saw a squirrel on the road, she ran into the yard and the prey flew away. Then I only put on the front ones to go for a walk. She dropped one of them almost immediately and the other stayed in perfect order and she walked with her perfectly. The next day I went camping with her wearing all my booties. She was a bit shy at first but quickly got the hang of it and wore it like a champ. I noticed that she was comfortable in the snow and not a problem on the salty roads, which bothered her feet and she disliked long walks. She smiled. The key is to fully dress the booties and tighten them properly. They didn't even come loose as she ran through rough terrain and bushes. Very satisfied. *** My suggestion would be that people should do the same thing I accidentally did: don't put on all your boots at once, but maybe one, then the front two, then all four on three consecutive walks. ***UPDATE: This is our second season with these booties. There is an issue with snow accumulating in the part just above the top velcro which bothers my dog's paws. I made sure I fastened them properly, but when the snow is deeper than the height of the boots, that's a problem. While these are good boots I would add that they are not ideal for deep snow. As the collected snow melts it gets into the boots making my dog's paws very cold and wet. I had to remove her to keep her from whimpering. When walking on salty roads and plowed land, they are suitable.
