Excellent hip and hip support SI

5 stars! Here's my review along with some product notes and things I've learned about my lower back and hip pain. Pros: 1) The design is perfect for SI pain relief. Specifically, the two smaller straps that overlap the main strap are 2 inches wide, which is the right size for targeted compression on the sides of the thighs. 2) The main belt also has nice design and size. I was also surprised that I can wear this over my jeans and with my shirt open the belt is hidden. Disadvantages: 1) none. Note: There is no magic bullet, you have to work for long-term benefits. Picture of the seller showing the belt about 1-2 inches below the belly button 2) The product also says to use the belt for 3-12 weeks This seems too long in my opinion and I would only recommend using this to work on (a) your recovery/correction phase, and then (b) work on prevention/mobility/strengthening of your hips and lower back. 3) Regarding (a): Once you've "tweaked" something, a GOOD chiropractor is the quickest way to repair injuries. For physical pain I would recommend involving Chiro as it can make the difference between taking prescribed medication/surgery and less invasive spinal and muscular work. There are many Chiros out there. Many offer "generic" 5 minute cracks and instant services, but there are some that are INFINITELY more effective with skills and techniques that can dissect your physical imbalances. Ditto for finding quality massages, physical therapists, etc. 4) Once you've got your pain and function down to a good level, you should work on prevention/mobility/strengthening to see long-term results. Yoga is the easiest recommendation I can give as it focuses on core strength and flexibility, ie overall body functionality. It's hard to tell if you need a back brace or this SI belt. I would suggest determining if you've had an acute lower back injury (like an elbow in your back, hernia, etc.) or if your hip is dislocated. (eg, slept poorly or on one side, engaged in an unpleasant physical activity the day before and loaded the hip and lower back to the point of subluxation, that is, displaced the vertebrae of the spine and strained the surrounding muscles). I would recommend a lower back brace for 1st reason and an SI belt for 2nd reason.
