I am 5'1 155 pounds and I ordered a large. I have a curvy body shape and I will say I did struggle to get this dress over my chest even though it has a zipper on the side. I'd say it runs on the smaller side versus true to size. Once it was on, I liked the look of this dress - the fabric in the front hid my lower stomach which I am very self-conscious about and I liked that. I think this dress could be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. It's a little short on me at 5'1 so if you're taller - I'd take that into consideration.
