Review on πŸ’ REVLON Hair Straightening Heated Styling Brush: Achieve Sleek Hair with the 4-1/2 inch Brush by Debbie Rossi

Really good PROS but also very bad CONS

I bought this straightening comb 4 months ago and decided to test it thoroughly before rating it. I have shoulder length thin hair but there is a lot of it so it seems thick. It's wavy/curly if I don't do anything to straighten it. Although my curly hairstyles look very simple, I like to change my look to a straight one, but I also hate spending a lot of time with a blow dryer/straightener. The reviews for this product convinced me that this could be just what I was looking for. I'd say that's 85% correct in my case. Pros: good temperature range, straightens hair naturally, not straightened like with an iron. Pre-spraying with the right heat protectant will give your hair a glossy and shiny look. Cons: 1) Not suitable for wet hair. I still have to dry my hair before use as my hair gets frizzy and then it takes longer for this straightener to straighten it. If your hair is not that curly, you can just air dry it before using this tool. If you're in a hurry to do your hair (which I usually do), you might still need to blow dry. Humidity also plays a big part in this, but it's drying time and the frizz that comes with drying. 2) Difficult to clean between the bristles. I suppose you shouldn't submerge it in water and the bristles are very close together. If anyone finds a good way to do this, please comment here to help me. 3) The ON/OFF switch is on the handle right where you hold it and you can just turn off the power without knowing it (no sound) until it starts to cool down. Really frustrating as I've done this myself a few times. Summary - I still like it but would buy something else if it had all the pros without the cons.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • too long to wait
