*Shown on the left is the new iPad cover (2021), on the right is the old iPad cover (2017). I really liked this case when I first bought it in 2017, could have given a 5 star rating. I recently bought the same black case and there is no comparison, the case is thinner, not as flexible, the first case. The two different positions offered by the case are difficult to stabilize due to the inflexible material of the inner shell, and this rigidity has resulted in the iPad falling several times when lifting it from its viewing position. This may not be a problem for some, but it is a problem for me since I use the iPad for different purposes every day. I plan on contacting the company to find out which case to buy as I want to stick with their vegan brand.
