Review on πŸ” KHCRAFT Pro Indicator with Enhanced Hardened Components by Michael Syph

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Updated review of inspection indicators

Update: After buying a good Mitutoyo dial gauge I became more confident in my measurements which led me to brought revise my review of KHKraft. So here it is: the dial needed a bit of work to get the display to zero smoothly (probably had some oil in it at some point too), the dial is pretty damn repeatable, but my problem was that I didn't understand the sensitivity level of these devices and probably my surfaces weren't clean enough and/or properly aligned. Experience is definitely key, I use it now for quick display on my desktop CNC machine. It's not a Mitutoyo, but KHKraft still does its job well and is probably even better suited to my needs at my skill level. Now I have a Toyo though, lol. My expectations for this indicator weren't very high, but based on the feedback, I decided that it would serve my purpose. Try one after the other, I just couldn't get the vise vertical. Spring. I didn't think to check the gauge for several hours, mostly because I trusted the device more than myself, but of course it has no repeatability and is incredibly sticky. The dial is very difficult to move when measuring (e.g. when zeroing, not sure if that is normal). Even outside the return period, crap. Maybe instead of a guarantee I'll upgrade my rating based on my experience.

Pros

Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
