Review on 🎧 Westone WA78397 Bluetooth V2 Earphone & In-Ear Monitor Cable Microphone with MMCX Connector – 12 hours Battery Life, Black by Charity Johnson

I've been using the Westone v2 bluetooth cable for about a week now. I used v1 about 2 years ago. Westone has released some long-awaited v2 updates, but there's a big problem. Good thing: Upgrading to Bluetooth v5 fixes lip-sync issues on some video platforms, improved audio quality, and reduced, if not fixed, waking dropouts. Outside. With version 1, I often had trouble lip syncing with the YouTube app on my iPhone 7, and the audio would drop out dozens of times throughout the day. Extra battery life/charging station means I charge less. I don't like the need to use a charging station as I have to carry it with me, but the fact that I can extend the battery life is worth it. - build quality is slightly better than v1; However, this is disadvantageous for Shure IEM users as the mmcx connector now has a large rubber lip which is designed to prevent water ingress but instead makes interacting with the Shure IEM very difficult. If you keep that cable and use Shure, you'll probably need to cut that rubber. Cable ends near mmcx connectors are now stiffer and more rounded. This keeps the headphones in place and makes them more secure. The worst problem with this cable, and the reason I brought it back despite many notable upgrades, is that rhythmic, throbbing, buzzing noises are very audible in the right channel from low to medium volume. There is no sound (probably masked) when listening at normal to high volumes, but if there is a quieter section or silence between tracks, the sound is heard again. I contacted Westone and they admitted it was a Google Pixel issue, but I use an iPhone 7 and two different laptops. They replaced the cable, but the replacement suffers from the same problem. Also, the noise is documented on several forums, leading me to believe it's a design or firmware issue.
