It gives my laundry a nice extra scent with no weird or artificial smell so I use it. I don't normally use fabric softeners as they are bad for the fabric. I have a disgusting front-loading washing machine that I clean regularly and obsessively, and I think my clothes still smell funny sometimes, so I just want fresh-smelling laundry. It helps, as does the semi-religious, semi-fainted cleaning ritual and laundry prep, where I make sure the laundry doesn't smell somewhere between mildew and vomit. If you still have a top loader, never change it - you will regret it.
