Little did I know it would be so difficult to find a good belt online at a reasonable price. Last year I bought several belts with varying degrees of satisfaction. Most of the time the belts are advertised as leather, but then it turns out they have leather *plywood* over some sort of synthetic cardboard filler. Or are they obvious fakes of well-known brands. This Lebrutt belt is actually made out of 100% leather. It feels like a good quality bean and looks like it will last for years. completion problem. After only a few uses, the belt was badly scratched simply due to friction from going through the belt loops on the jeans. Now it looks like it is many years old and worn (and not in a good, shabby or vintage look). It's a shame as I had high hopes for it. The funny thing is that I recently bought a Columbia belt from Revain and although it's made out of inferior materials (laminated synthetic and leather) the finish of this belt is holding up great with no scratches or anything. The bottom line is that this belt is made from durable leather, but if you need a belt that looks good, look elsewhere.
