After paying over $100 for the first Apple Pencil, I didn't want to pay another $129 for the second version. Since the first generation Apple Pencil is not compatible with 2018 iPad Pro models, I started looking for another solution. I discovered Adonit Note on Revain and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I took the risk! It works seamlessly with my iPad Pro. Just like the Apple Pencil. I mainly use it with the Good Notes 4 app. The only adjustment I had to make was to set the default writing tool thickness a bit higher since Adonit Note has no pressure sensitivity. With this setup I find it a great option for taking notes. I also used the stylus to highlight in the Kindle app. Again it worked perfectly. Yes, charging via the micro-USB port is a little cumbersome, but that wasn't a deciding factor for me. It's easy to buy for less than half the price of an Apple Pencil!
