This product worked great right out of the box. Easy to set up and no hassles in using. But now, after 3 months of about 10 hours a week, he died. The connection is terminated with a request to check the input signal. And when he decides to connect nonetheless, the audio is filled with noise. I am requesting a refund. Attention buyers. Follow up - I bought a new high quality HDMI cable, tried different power inputs etc and nothing helped to fix the problem. I was very disappointed as everything was working fine before this crash. After a few days of additional troubleshooting, the device was packaged and ready to be sent back for a refund. What happened next was interesting. The cable box I used as the source for this unit started going haywire when simply plugged into the TV. For several hours, the cable box only showed all other channels in full HD, the rest in pixels. I got a new box from the cable company and everything is back to normal. Out of curiosity, I unpacked the device and tried it out. He was back to work. I'm not sure if this product can predict potential source failures, but in my case it definitely indicated when something went wrong in the cable box. Therefore, I am changing this product rating to 5 stars.
