These shoes are good for the price but run small. At the same time we bought a shy pair of shoes that allowed room to grow but didn't even fit his foot. So I had to take a size up. I'm not sure about the durability, my kids don't wear shoes so the soles break easily. My boys haven't complained about being uncomfortable either, but they don't have much cushioning.
