Review on Michael Kors Chronograph Ladies MK5083 by Karyn Garcia

My husband gave me this watch, I've been wearing it every day for about a month. I've dreamed of a Michael Kors watch for a long time and was glad to get it. Here's what I think of this piece: 1. Weight The first thing that struck me about this watch is its weight. They weigh a whopping 5.5 ounces, making them the heaviest watch I own. This piece is even heavier than all of my husband's watches, just to give you an idea. So if you don't like carrying heavy things on your wrists, this watch might not be for you. The watch is also quite thick (tall) and the bezel is large in diameter, so it may look slightly too large on a petite person. Be sure to check the measurements before purchasing.3. Quality/Specifications a. Seems well made and so far the time keeping has been accurate. I haven't tried the chronograph function but I assume it works.b. Despite being a chronograph, this model has managed to avoid the crowded, busy look that many chronographs have. It has a clean, modern design and is easy to read even for a visually impaired person like me: I'm very nearsighted, but with glasses I also struggle with farsightedness, so I usually have to keep my arm outstretched to see the time with glasses. c. Although the hands are mostly the same color as the face, the time is fairly easy to read. The clock also has a glow-in-the-dark function (hands) - very useful in cinemas etc.4. Other. The size of the crystals around the bezel is medium. I personally think they could have been a bit larger to better suit the chunky size of the watch. Not too much, because if the crystals are too big, the watch can quickly look pretty cheap. b. The bracelet also fits large wrists, it is roomy. I like the spring clasp which makes the bracelet easy to close and also quick to open with no fuss. A strap that doesn't open fully (i.e., "splits" when opened) also provides better security, as the watch cannot fall off accidentally, or only if the hand was pointing straight down when the watch was removed. In general a good watch that I enjoy wearing.
