I ordered a set of neon pink and green joysticks and received a red and blue color box. Thinking I received the wrong set I went to support to report it. Luckily, I had the foresight to put a stop to it before I escalated the situation. Otherwise I would probably have to wait another two days until I get the right product, although I actually already have it. I'm not sure if it's Revain's or the manufacturer's fault for the product not being packaged correctly, but it can be confusing for buyers. That being said, I acknowledge the fact that I just made a mistake by not checking the box before contacting Revain support. Like the title of this review, I would advise anyone purchasing this to check the box for the correct joycons before jumping to conclusions like I did. Now for the rating itself! These joycons are almost identical to Nintendo's, albeit slightly lighter. Button and trigger presses are noticeably louder compared to Nintendo's tactile-sounding buttons and triggers. As a mechanical keyboard user, I like clicks and clicks, so I'm fine with that. The analog sticks are concave, which isn't a big deal as I use Xbox controllers a lot, but this can be a hindrance for some. I want 3rd party joycons to use curved analog sticks. I really like the design of these joycons, from the stripes to the shape of the home button. Speaking of shapes, they don't have a curve at the bottom, which is great since I can place them next to my Switch with the slim carrying case I have. Do not get me wrong; I have no complaints about curved joycons. They're probably better ergonomically and I actually have a few. However, as I travel a lot for work and in general, I would prefer joycons that fit in my Switch carrying case. These are just my first impressions of the Vivefox joycon replacements, so I'll update this as needed.
