It pairs easily with a mobile phone and you can load your contacts with a spell that you have to understand from the cryptic manual. If you live in a big house, picking up your cell phone is a convenient way. The audio is good from the owner's end of the phone. Unfortunately, when you're on the phone, the audio is just awful: delayed echoes, background screeches, tinny voices, and so on. It has nothing to do with where the phone is in relation to the base and there are no electronic elements near the base to interfere. I bought this for my mom and she loves the convenience but ended up wishing I had it. a fanny pack or similar so she can carry her iPhone around the house instead of fiddling around with it. I know she misses her old landline, but sadly in this age of unfettered phone scams, a landline is no longer an option.
