Review on 💻 Redragon K582 SURARA: 104-Key RGB LED Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Low-Noise Brown Switches for Enhanced Tactile Experience by Darrell Beecher

This is only my second Redragon board and my third mechanical keyboard overall. I bought this to replace the brown switch Velocifire board in my office as I wanted something with stronger buttons (the end button would fly off every time I pressed it huh?), it would be quieter and would have less actuation force than my hands tired from typing all day. On this board I put O-rings under all keycaps (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BF6WW47) which noticeably comforts the keys since the keycaps are wet. I've never had any complaints that this board is too loud for an office environment. The board itself is solid and durable, and the keycaps feel solid and precise. The keys are also wider than my previous board, making typing easier. I have no issues with radio buttons or incorrect registration/unregistration of keystrokes. The media and volume control function keys, as well as the standard application commands, are quite useful and work well. The custom board I bought has RGB functionality with a number of pre-programmed LED patterns. The function keys for controlling an LED's output take a bit of time to figure out initially, but offer a lot of control over the LEDs once you press them down. Another feature of this board compared to my last one is the fold down height adjusters or "stands" on the back of the board. The footpegs are rubberized at the ends and are quite thick and durable. There is no sagging or flexing when the controls are extended, even when I press hard on the back of the board itself. My previous board didn't have an option to adjust the angle of the board so I love these. According to the listing, the rear legs offer around 10 degrees of tilt, which can make typing significantly more comfortable depending on your preferences and settings. at the bottom of the board to prevent slipping. The board doesn't move even when typing fast, whether it's lying on the table or raised as usual. The legs don't have enough grip to make it difficult to manually reposition the board if you want to move it (e.g. to free up desk space or adjust your sitting position). Soldering is required if you need to replace the switch, either due to a breakage or to tweak the feel of certain buttons. For example, I replaced the switch below the spacebar with a black switch to give me a bit more actuation force, since I often misjudge when I press the spacebar when typing or double-pressing the spacebar. The slight difference in actuation force helps prevent this for me. I will probably keep this board for office use for a long time as I am very happy with it so far. At a very reasonable price, this is a solid board that should provide excellent typing over a long period of time.
