I can't even keep in touch with a connected thing

So I connected a mouse and USB controller to the hub first. Both will work for a while, but one or both will lose connection and may come back soon or need to be disconnected/reconnected. I assumed it was because both things used a lot of power. I plugged my mouse into a really cumbersome USB port on top of my tower and just left the controller plugged into the hub to hopefully not run into an issue. It turns out it can't even maintain a network connection. An absolute waste of my money. TL; DR - Buy a powered USB hub, not this junk.
