At first glance the thing is light and cheap - all plastic. But it works well and does exactly what it's supposed to. I don't know if every item that comes off the line is as tight as this one, but the pins move slightly when pressure is applied to corners etc and they hold their shape when transferred to a stencil surface. If handled well and not tossed in a heavy tool box, I expect this item to last for many years. It's not that the plastic is brittle; It's pretty heavy and you can drop it without fear of it breaking or chipping, but plastic is plastic. I would buy again.
