I ordered my hat Sunday and it arrived Weds. The weatherman said it was supposed to be in the 20s on Thurs, so I figured that would be a good time to try out my new fuzzy ушанка. I ordered this after reading all the rave reviews. Upon its arrival, I already knew the little plastic clip would fall off- so with about 5 mins of work, I sewed a small button onto the end of the strap, and no more lost clip. I also discovered you can store the face mask part in 2 ways: flip the ears up, clip them and then snap the mask to one snap on each side of the flaps over the top of the hat (not ideal, but it does work) or the furry forehead part is only tacked into place, so you can fold the face mask and tuck it into the "pocket" in the brow. I wore the hat today and it was 32F-- WAY too warm for this hat! It was, however very windy and sleeting, so with the flaps down but snapped behind my neck it worked great. I have a small head and the hat is a bit large. My plans are to use it for very cold weather and to wear a thin balaclava under it which helps take up some of the looseness and gives the hat something to stick to so it won't blow off. Overall, I like it and it's definitely warm! Not a bad hat for the price. Sorry, photos are not so great, but working with black/black materials don't show up well.
