Review on BD Diesel Performance 1300030 Isolator by Ron Coleman

Had shift problems on a 2001 Dodge 3500 with automatic transmission at about 40-45 km/h, slipped and wobbled when shifting, the part was delivered to me in a couple days. What a difference, the switches are like new! Simple instructions, followed the reviews advice, watched the video and decided to solder and hardwire the PCM cable rather than use the connector provided, avoid cutting the cable completely like others have stated. All warranties on this product are void, but as an experienced engineer I will take a risk. The connector that comes with it has a needle that pierces the wire to grab the contact, may work with others I don't know. I personally would rather leave the PCM wire alone and expose it with wire strippers. I just applied some solder and attached a new wire. Improved current, and if it ever breaks, the original PCM wire stays intact and cannot separate or fail. It worked for me, the shift points between gears became more accurate, a small increase in fuel consumption! Definitely recommend before calling the gear shop $$
