I was able to compare this webcam directly with the Logitech C920, which is now regarded as the best webcam on the market. After tweaking, I was able to make this Amcrest webcam better than Logitech. I say "after adjustment" because the default settings tend to blow out the highlights and wash out the colors. I tested on Macbook Air in Google Meet and Zoom. Logitech has better sharpness and less noise, but Amcrest has better colors. The skin tone looks more natural than on Logi. I'd say if you care more about color than sharpness, you might like this camera. The Logitech camera should be much better as it costs almost twice as much. If you're on a tight budget, give this a look. If video conferencing is your main focus, this is a pretty good camera and probably better than the one built into your laptop (not to mention the MacBook Air's camera, which sucks). If you want to shoot quality social media videos, you should look elsewhere. I also tested on a Chromebook. On ChromeOS, this camera works fine, but there's no way to tweak the settings (which I'm aware of, but maybe there's a Linux app somewhere). There's also no way to tweak Logitech's settings in ChromeOS, but Logi looks a lot better than Amcrest with the default settings. If you have a space where you can adjust the amount of natural light that comes in, or you have good studio lighting, this can help you achieve what you want. I was able to adjust the plantation's shutters so the video quality was acceptable. I give this camera 3 stars and give it a positive review and for the money I would recommend it. I'm giving 2 stars because the settings aren't very good and the image is noisy and blurry (I think because it's a single focal lens, so it's never sharp where Logi has a multifocal lens). with good AF). I would give Logitech 4 stars mainly for autofocus/sharpness but 1 star because the colors just don't match skin tones. Logitech's setup software also keeps forgetting your settings, so you have to keep reloading them. A third party solution might help with this, but it still can't help me get the colors I want as Amcrest handles this category better. At the moment you are lucky to find a webcam, they are all sold out everywhere. . I think you should buy one of these Amcrest webcams now while they last. I think at this price they will disappear quickly.
