Definitely don't try to adjust from side to side when it's barely clamped and the paint is torn.

Installed this on my 2018 Honda Pioneer 1000 and it worked well. The only thing I screwed up was trying to center it and put it in the middle of the bar like a car without being able to see behind me. Place it right in the middle of the driver and middle seat and you have a good view of everything behind you. It's nice to set if you have small children to check in the back seats.
