I bought this for a gel manicure - I didn't want to buy a UV nail lamp because I wanted to focus on where the UV light was seeing and then someone on Watched YouTube Use this LED light. I used it the first time I applied gel to my nails and I had no burning or warm sensation and cured layers in about 60-90 seconds. Of course I used fairly thin coats of gel based base and top coat (base gel, regular nail polish, gel top coat) but I also tried drying a dab of gel polish on a paper towel and it worked fine. I think it's really easy to use for both a beginner and someone just starting to play with gel nail polish. And if I ever get my hands on a real nail lamp, or when I'm not doing my nails, I always have an extra flashlight handy! I also really appreciate that it comes with batteries. It was very convenient, which is why I finally ordered this flashlight.
