Review on JVC HAS65BNB Wireless Headphones: Noise Cancelling, Bluetooth 4.1, Bass Boost, Voice Assistant Compatible (Black) by Mike Wachtel

Good headphone

JVC has always impressed me with the quality of their products. The items have lasted much longer than you would expect and I am still using the items I received from this company years later. Your headphones are no exception. They last a long time, they do what they say they do and the battery life is pretty good. While the headphones aren't perfect, they're good enough to deserve a solid 4 stars. I used to think headphones are headphones. You get a set and smack them on your head and you're done. I have since found that this is not always the case. You can get cheaper headphones, and if you never try something more expensive, you'll never know the difference. I have tried Bose, JVC, Turtle Beach, Monster and many other headphones and I can say that there is a big difference between them. When you listen to JVC's high-end pair and low-frequency pair, it's the difference between day and night. If you listen to a cheap JVC pair of headphones and a twenty dollar pair of headphones, 95% of the time it's day and night again. JVC headphones sound head and shoulders better than any pair of low frequencies. These JVC headphones sound really good. The bass isn't as good as I'd like it to be in some places, but I'm very picky about that. I use Clash Combat Rock to determine how good the bass is and that might not be a fair comparison. Although this is my song Other than that, I think only once did a pair of headphones run through the beginning of this song, which I enjoyed. The bass button works well and I appreciate being able to boost the bass if I want to. In terms of battery life, it's really good. You get 18 to 22 hours of battery life without Bluetooth, and when you turn it on I managed to give or take 9 to 11 hours. It takes several hours to charge, so just plug it in overnight. I agree with other reviewers who say businesses need to move to a USB-C connection. Most of my devices now use USB-C, and it's getting harder and harder to find older cables around the home. This is a solid product that can withstand some abuse. I dropped mine, knocked and they always worked as they should. Most headphones have an expiration date, and the more you use them, the shorter the expiration date. The JVC was the exception to this rule and while other headphones I've had have lasted a year or so, I have JVC headphones that have lasted longer.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
