It works as advertised, I have no experience with such things and it took about 30 minutes to swap the old circuit board to the new drive and solder and guide Check it out on an old Xbox. Be sure to check out the tutorials on this. If you don't know what you're doing, they're very helpful. There are many of these on YouTube. I found that you don't need any extra solder, what's already on the wires does the job. I used a large soldering iron meant for garage use but it works great although it's a little awkward to use on something this small. Overall I'm happy with it, it does what it's supposed to do, just be aware that you're buying a used floppy drive, the description doesn't say that well, it would be nice if it were clearer.
