Review on LG 27MP59G-P 27 inch Monitor with FreeSync, 75Hz Refresh Rate, and 1080p HD Resolution by Brian Carney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

For example, you can see this error in the Firefox logo and blue Windows 10 icons.

This monitor has just one glaring flaw that may or may not bother someone. Some spot colors have faint vertical lines, mainly on blue, light blue, orange, yellowish-orange, and reddish-orange windows. For example, this is how you see this error on the Firefox logo and blue Windows 10 icons: The lines are very faint and vertical. Barely noticeable in games. But quite noticeable if you work a lot with spot colors. It's not critical for me, but it might be for you. Everything else is perfect. Great viewing angles, great brightness, great contrast right out of the box, great colors, great blacks and whites. Just a faint IPS glow and backlight glare. Excellent free sync range of 40-75Hz, which can be changed to 36-75Hz to compensate for low frame rates. The appearance of faint vertical lines in some spot colors is somewhat disappointing. Otherwise this would be the perfect monitor. Changing the refresh rate to 60Hz also slightly reduces the vertical faint lines. But I paid for a 75Hz monitor! I have decided not to return it. I'm getting used to the lines. I don't notice it at all when playing. I've seen these faint lines before but much worse on my cheap HP n3060 15.6 inch laptop screen. This screen was awful and had faint lines in every single color. LG is better, but it's disappointing that they've decided to cut costs somewhere.
