Zapper delivered and arrived quickly. Good to come out of the box with no damage. Plugged in and both light tubes (and grilles) work as advertised. Pros: Good surge arrester for indoor or indoor porches, patios, etc. Anywhere with a 120v plug and weatherproof. Quickly destroys all but the smallest flying insects with a loud bang upon entry. When the insect is small enough to get through the outer screen, it smokes. Cons: I originally bought this unit to hang in my garage as it is not fully protected from flying insects. However, it is fairly sealed so the larger ones won't be let through. Even mosquitoes. And there's a catch. The bugs that ACTUALLY get in are tiny mosquito-sized bugs of all kinds that spend their time biting me, nibbling on my food, or worse, kamikaze dipping into my freshly painted designs. Unfortunately, this unit's crosshairs appear to be too large to have any real impact on these "micro-flyers". I saw them fly through in vain. No KONTAKT, no REC. So if you're using it to kill fruit flies, mosquitoes, etc. I suggest looking elsewhere. Also, this unit "reporting" off the grid when it knocks you out can be scary when it's quiet and you're concentrating on something else. It's quite a loud POP.
