I bought these for my almost 2 year old so he can walk freely through puddles and mud without expecting to need them here in Southern California, but he loves them and wants to wear them all the time. I bought them a little big, but he walks in them with no problems. He has chunky feet and legs and is easy to dress up as he has room to tuck in his pants. I also tried on crocodile boots but they were tight at the ankle and calf and I couldn't tuck my pants in. I think it would be difficult for him to enter for the same reason.
