Review on JISTL Professional Dressmaking Pinking Shears with Comfort Grips - Green Crafts Zig Zag Cut Scissors for Sewing, DIY Projects, and more! by Doris Tran

Revainrating 4 out of 5

They work fine but they need to be cleaned first!

Before use, clean these scissors thoroughly with sewing machine oil (clear mineral oil) to remove the black grease used in the manufacturing process. Otherwise you risk leaving a black film on the fabric. Mineral oil also lubricates scissors better, making them easier to use. Apply oil liberally to both sides of the screw and then wipe it off. Repeat until the mineral oil has washed out all of the black grease. Clean all surfaces including the area between the knives and the knives themselves. Cut kitchen paper and/or oiled cloth until no more black comes off. Finally, clean all scissors with a spray or cloth (e.g. Clorox or Lysol). You'll know they're clean when you stop smelling the factory oil. (The smell is what led me to recognize the black oil in the first place. Then I cut open the cloth and saw the black residue.)
