The keyboard is thrown away once it starts producing double clicks, rendering it unusable. Disappointingly short lifespan of 2 years for a keyboard that has traditionally lasted 4 to 5 years. In general, a keyboard is worthwhile if its cost is reasonable in light of the number of years it is expected to serve its owner. : I'll elaborate on that; maybe it'll be useful to someone. Since I loved the keyboard and didn't want to replace it, I attempted resolving the issue of multiple keystrokes in several ways. Initially, I followed the advice I found online and gave the keyboard a thorough cleaning, washing the keys and blowing the switches. It was good to see a clean keyboard again, even if the work didn't improve much (there were still double clicks and remnants). At one point, I went into the configurations and discovered that a virtual keyboard had been installed on my laptop. My first suspicion was the Logitech G Hub, so I deleted it, took the keyboard out of the computer, and reinstalled it with the default Windows drivers, and now I haven't experienced any double-clicking in an entire week. In the meantime, I'll just keep an eye on how the keyboard performs without the Logitech G Hub. Maybe there's a glitch in the software, or maybe once the guarantee expires Logitech intentionally makes the virtual keyboard simulate double clicks. It would be interesting to learn if this clarified the issue for anyone else with the Logitech G Hub.
