When looking for true digital voice recorders, there are few options to avoid. For most dictators, a slide switch that allows you to quickly back up to correct mistakes or change the dictation is a must. Although this device has a slider to play, stop, record and rewind, rewinding is slow and sometimes doesn't work at all. The recording quality is barely sufficient and overall the device is a headache and certainly not worth the money. It's a shame you can buy a $75 digital recorder that's vastly superior to this Olympus, but if you add a slide switch the price jumps to $250 and you're spending $500 to get a device that works perfectly. Avoid this device.
