Installed these on my truck for on and off road use. They're light, thin, and don't really feel like a gimmick. Just regular lights. The lens and plastic body feel strong enough to withstand normal off-road conditions. The instructions aren't too helpful, they just tell you how to hook them up to your low/fog or high beam so it's legal. I wanted them to be separate from the stock headlights on my truck so I figured out the wiring myself and it was very easy. Wiring harness is good but I needed more 18 gauge wire for grounding and lots of connectors not included. Very easy installation. I immediately switched to 100 watt bulbs, which I recommend because I don't know if 55 watt bulbs are bright enough. 100 watt lamps require 20 amp fuses for the built in switch and relay fuse holders. The 2/15 amp fuses blew immediately. These flashlights have an odd radiation pattern but put out a decent amount of light. Brighter than factory headlights. When I drive with them I see the road much better and every sign is reflected. Even highway signs 100 meters away reflect light. But for some reason these headlights vibrate a little from bumps in the road and it seems like the beam of light is shaking. Generally good headlights and good for the price.
