4-ply - you may need 6-ply

I was driving up a hill and a sharp rock cut right through the tread. When I went to the local tire shop (needed a tire badly!) they asked me if I wanted a 4-ply or 6-ply tire! I have 6 shifts. It also appears to have a thicker profile. The tires were delivered well and I got what I asked for. I just had to become a better consumer!
