This is a great vehicle and I put it to the test right away. I brought my new buddy home from SPCA and he christened him on the way home pooping and puking. Although I was out of breath and my eyes watered for the rest of the ride, we made it. What I like: Obviously easy to clean. Everything except the bottom is made of vinyl material that is easy to wash. The bottom has a rigid part (much appreciated for its durability when carrying an animal) in a material similar to an artificial sheepskin. The fake sheepskin was rinsed and then sent straight to the washing machine, from which it came out clean and thankfully odorless. He bore the brunt of the event. The hard part is also covered with vinyl and is easy to clean. The holder itself has screens on both ends and sides. I like it because the cat can see you and knows you are there. There is also a zipper on one side so you can put your hand in and calm the animal down. There is a shoulder strap if you need it, but it can be removed if you don't need it. The hole at one end is very large - the entire end of the carrier - to allow the animal to be easily inserted. I used to have a rigid stretcher that worked more like a clam shell - it was a nightmare to put a cat in it. it, but with this product it's easy. Gave the old daughter, now wants to swap. It's not going to happen. A week later we made our next visit to the vet, which luckily was uneventful.
