Cute, but def better out there

I just recently started using the journal months after purchasing. I want to love it, but as a person who uses gel ink pens I'm finding that it's difficult to write in. I have no problem writing on standard paper with my pens, but as soon as I use my pens in this notebook they basically stop working fluently. I'm not sure if the paper has a wax coating of some sort or what the issue is, but I know it's not the 5 different pens that I've tried (including different brands). I guess I'll be writing in pencil from now on instead.

I love these journals, I was specially searching for journals with pen holders and these are amazing

The notebook may be too heavy to carry around
