Review on πŸ’‡ Cordless Auto Hair Curler with Ceramic Rotating Barrel | 6 Temps & Timers, Rechargeable & Portable Curling Wand | Fast Heating Spin Iron for Styling + Auto Shut-Off by Jenn Plata

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent iron, terrible glove, requires storage

Heats up quickly and evenly. There are 2 heat settings with auto shut off (not tested yet) and I found that I only needed a low setting and only had to hold the set for 3-5 seconds to get good results (I use it on very fine sections of hair). ). I only used one of the stems (the smallest which I don't understand on this and all other brands is tapered and the rest of the stems are all flat) and to tell the truth I didn't know what size I needed. to even out my existing natural curls (I have a strand of hair that isn't holding the curl so I wanted to use a straightener on it and touch up on the second day). The last time I used an iron. Curling irons were probably my feathered hairstyle in the early 80's, so I was surprised that most modern flat irons don't have clip bars anymore, which I would have preferred. This bar dispenses with horrible looking dried out, fried dead curls that evenly dangle at the end of a perfect curl and look horrible. I see SO MANY girls and women with messy ends of curls because the final strands of hair can't be easily wrapped around modern barrels by hand. And that brings me to the GLOVE. Yes, it's a thermal barrier, but the landing is terrible. The palm is tight and the fingers are very tight, so it is troublesome to put them on again and again, and no one has time to get ready in the morning, and the fingers are too long! No matter how hard I pull, I can't keep my fingertips taut, they're being pulled up all the time, so I lose the ability for the fine finger movements I need to get a nice, neat curl. The other problem with the glove is that you hold your supposedly straightened strand of hair with your gloved hand to wrap it around the barrel, but the fabric rubbing against the hair pulls on it, making it difficult to keep the hair straight . You actually need 2 gloves because you have to switch hands to wrap and work both sides of the head. I would like to order new gloves, but I don't see any suitable ones on offer. If you have great thermal gloves please comment under my review where to buy them. I suspect that the issues I'm having with this iron actually have more to do with the modern iron trend than this particular piece of equipment, which, apart from my other complaints, makes this a good iron. I wish it had some sort of storage system because people who don't curl their hair (guys) think it's "toys" when they see it on my cosmetics counter (eye rolls). The kegs are cut from Styrofoam and are too large to store in a crate or on a counter. Until something more functional comes along, this device won't let you down compared to others and the price is very reasonable.
