My 20 year old 12 inch Craftsman band saw was not working and a dull saw blade was to blame. I installed an Olson blade 1/4" 6 TPI (80"). The saw worked great. although I only reset the guides very basic. Slippage was my biggest issue with the old blade, and this new blade did an impressive job on both straight and curved cuts. Tried a 5" section of dried maple for quick sawing Test Impressive cut, straight and fast (yes I know a wider blade would be better for sawing, just wanted to see how the blade would perform in thicker stock. ) I'll get some more Olson discs and my bandsaw is back in service!
