We saw a friend's GelPro anti-fatigue mat and loved it. She bought it from Bed Bath and Beyond, but it's too expensive ($80 after a 20% discount). After a bit of searching I found this one is over 60% off with free shipping. So I'll try it for 1/3 the cost of GelPro. This one has a very strong vinyl top surface, about 1/8 inch thick. The pillow underneath is about 3/8 inch thick. So I am assuming that 1/2 inch includes both layers. The overall area of the mat is 2 feet by 3 feet, however there is an approximately 2 inch border around it that is manipulated. It's not as soft as the GelPro due to the thick vinyl surface; However, it is very comfortable to stand on. However, without the texture of the basket, it's much easier to clean, and the surface should be less prone to damage if silver objects fall on it. The underside of the Red Stop also works very well. It stays where we put it. Will definitely buy more when the price goes down again.
