Unit has a distinct flashing blue light that stays on all the time. The running noise could be a called a "white noise”. I kept the unit because of the size (table top) and that it did it’s job; it purified the air. Used in households with cats and dogs which normally cause allergic reactions, it did make life better - than not having the one. Seller only sent me statements about the filter when asked if I could somehow turn off the blue light.
- AIR FRESHENER: you can also use it as an air freshener; push the lid on the top to open it, add a drop of essential oil and get your family clean, fresh and fragrant air to breathe
- The product may not work as effectively in demanding environments such as hospitals or construction sites
