Advantages: 1. Easy installation. Use soapy water under the grips to remove them easily and this old derailleur is immediately used for quick derailleur replacement. 2nd gear shifts smoothly. Tip: Shift the chain to the lowest gear to make it easier to tension the cable. 3. Great price from a known reliable brand/product. Cons: 1. Cable length does NOT fit most Electra bikes. They have a longer body length than regular bikes and require about 6 inches more cable. The long cable is easy to change to use this reliable 3-speed rear derailleur. This is not the product's fault, just a warning if you plan on using it. on longer Electra bikes. Overall a great product!
