Quality handle in fittings

We recently bought a new house for ourselves that was built in the 1960's. The house has received some updates but many things have remained untouched. The doorknobs were old, cheap, light, and looked like brass. You've seen better days too. I looked at Baldwin and other high end brands because I wanted a pen that was durable and of high quality. Unfortunately for me it was hard to justify it for the price. I went to my local Home Depot and looked through them all to see what I found the most durable. They feel heavy and the door handle is stiff. The handle doesn't "wobble" like the old/cheap ones. And they look good too!

Pros

Pismo has an idealistic, simplified look. With clean lines and a variety of finishes, you can easily transition to a contemporary style.
