I have been installing the lamp for a month with no problems. I would say my rating is a combination of value and brightness. I was expecting brighter light, but I think I had the wrong idea of what to expect. I have a 3 car garage with an 11 foot ceiling that had 3 light bulbs in the ceiling. I installed this light in the center and bought $15 motion sensors for the rest of the 2,800 lumen bulbs (the sensors screw into the socket and the bulbs screw into the base of the motion sensor). It's brighter in the garage, but in my head I expected the brightness of a headlight, and it's a very diffused (but brighter) light that's actually better. I can say it's brighter because it casts shadows at night. The shadows primarily affected by this light are dark, but the other shadows are lighter. This is because the Striker lamp is bright enough to reduce the shadows cast by other lamps, but not vice versa. As for the cost: Actually, the price is probably a good price, but it's hard to swallow at first. If you compare this bulb to 3000-5000 lumen LED lights, you will see that they cost $80-100 and have no motion detection. So the price is probably ok. Things I like: - Motion detector: The main reason I wanted is a motion detector so that the garage is lit when I drive in at night and this detector is excellent. Compared to other detectors I have, this is definitely better. - Better illuminate the space: since the light is not a point but diffuse, a large area is illuminated, but not as brightly as a point. With 11ft ceilings, the light makes it easy for you to read. - Easy to Install: One day I wish I could install and wire lots of lights to really light up the garage, but it takes effort. That's easy. Unscrew the bulb, screw it in. direct the light That's all. This is an important point.
