If you've never tried a wireless system, U2's wireless guitar system is a great choice. First you can charge the transmitter and receiver, the charge lasts 5 hours. I recently did a test where I started walking down the street when the amp was still in my studio and the range was surprisingly good. I would have no problem using this system at a typical gig where I play on a medium to large stage. The response time is 6ms, which is imperceptible to the human ear, and the sound sounds like you're connecting to an amplifier with a high-quality cable.
