I wasn't sure if they were worth buying but they weren't too expensive. When we bought a new grill I decided they were worth trying. What a great product. You must follow the instructions and keep the temperature below 500 degrees when using. Now we are in love with her and never fry without her. The first time we cooked steaks. Heat the grill to temperature. Place the trays on the grill and place the steaks on top. No more sticking to the grate as nothing seems to be sticking to it. The steaks looked cooked-grill marks and all-even though they weren't on the actual grill but on those copper sheets. The steaks were great - evenly cooked and they looked like they were cooked right on the grill. The best part is that the meat doesn't stick to the hot grill. The next thing I tried was chicken. I haven't cooked chicken on my old grill for a long time because I had to be careful not to burn it. It really impressed me. I rubbed the chicken all over with a dry paper towel and then placed it on these grilled sheets. Was also great. You didn't have to worry about the chicken burning, and you didn't have to constantly open the grill lid and lose heat. When we're done cooking, we leave the sheets on the grill until they cool, and then we simply wipe away the leftovers with a paper towel, then wash with soap and water. Well, until they are used again. This keeps the grill remarkably clean. Very little fat drips through, so we don't have to clean the grill as often. There are only a few drops in the bowl. What a great product. If they burn, then you have too much heat. Now I can cook on a timer instead of eating meat all the time. I follow the grill manufacturer's recommendations for how long to cook each side and the results are pretty much perfect. Sometimes I need a few more minutes. The one time I cooked chicken, I overcooked it, but it was still tender and tasty and had no burn marks on it. I think you will be impressed. Next time I plan to try fish and veg - should be perfect for that.
