I have a new tattoo but I work in the oil industry and am concerned about protecting it. I bought this as a precaution because my last tattoo got a small infection and changed my last tattoo. With this bandage, while I clean my skin before putting it on, it protects my tattoo. I no longer use it as it has almost completely healed. However, I washed the leather and patted it dry when I put it on. I applied the ointment recommended by the tattoo artist but didn't use much. I applied a thin layer and then applied a bandage. Not only will it stay, but it will protect my tattoo from all the dirt and oil I surround myself with. Now that it's almost completely healed I don't need to wear it anymore but I've never had to worry about it getting infected. Also, I noticed that it also helped it heal faster.
